Georgia’s runoff elections have been postponed due to heavy rains and a threat of heavy winds.
Democrat Jon Ossoff won a narrow victory over Republican Karen Handel in Tuesday’s runoff, giving him a 6-point edge over her.
Handel has already clinched her spot in a special election for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Ossof won a victory over Democrat Jon Husted in the November runoff.
The runoff will take place on December 6.
Osnoff will face Republican Karen Guadagno in the December 6 runoff.
Both Democrats have been in a virtual tie since November.
Osssoff was the top choice of Republican voters and his campaign was criticized for spending heavily in the runoff.
His victory was a huge boost for his campaign and he has already said he plans to run again in 2020.
