On Tuesday night, the Australian election will come down to the wire, and it will be fought over who is the man most capable of delivering the nation’s first female prime minister.

The next election is scheduled to be held in 2021, but the Labor Party is now in a position to have its cake and eat it too, and win the seat of Wollongong.

A number of prominent women have already made their way to the seat to run for the seat, with the most prominent being Ms Wong, the first Latina woman to be elected to the Australian parliament.

In 2017, she was elected to parliament, winning the seat by more than 20,000 votes.

Her win was a huge boost to the Liberal Party, as it is the second most popular party in the state.

Ms Wong also served as the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection from July 2020 to January 2021, where she was responsible for the removal of more than 10,000 people who had been deported from the country, according to the Federal Government’s own figures.

She is the first person to hold the portfolios of Immigration Minister and Border Security Minister, and also holds the portfolios Minister for Planning, Infrastructure and Communities, Minister for Women and Social Services and Minister for Health.

According to ABC News, Ms Wong also oversaw the Government’s plans to expand Victoria’s mental health care system, with a $20 million expansion to provide free access to counselling for people with mental health issues.

While Ms Wong has been successful at her new position, she has also faced criticism from the Coalition and Labor for not campaigning for the Labor candidate, and the Greens have also criticised her for not taking more action on climate change.
