The Hill’s Robert Costa reports the Washington Democrats “won’t be able to prepare for next year’s election,” and the party “is taking the same position that they have been for the last five years.”
He adds: “There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the 2020 campaign.
Democrats have been trying to plan for years and now the party is looking to get back into the swing of things and move forward with a new president.”
Democrats plan to have about $1.4 million in the bank and spend $5 million on television advertising, and they are expecting to get $2.4 billion in federal spending.
The Democratic National Committee says its “highly optimistic” it will have enough money to go into the 2020 election, and it is “looking forward to spending even more money to reach out to voters in this critical election year.”
